Brianna started practicing yoga in 2014 after she completed a half marathon. She picked up yoga on YouTube as a way to stretch and recover from the brutal training she endured for the run. Within two weeks of practicing at home she knew this practice would be something she would carry with her forever and felt the pull to share it with others. After two years of self practice she began to visit different studios and meet others in the yoga community. She finally met Tracy Barbuto who was an Ashtanga instructor, who just so happened to be a teacher trainer as well. After a few classes and further YTT discussions Brianna was committed to becoming an instructor.
She completed her course with Sangha Yoga (by Tracy Barbuto) in 2017 and has been teaching in the Murfreesboro area ever since. Brianna's favorite style to teach is power. She loves to infuse creative flows and challenging postures and rhythms together all while maintaining a fun, beginner friendly class over all. She is a big advocate for the use of props during classes to make sure all postures are executed with proper form. You can expect an upbeat playlist, a full body asana practice, and a gentle cool down and savasana from one of her classes.

Akiko was introduced to yoga by a friend in 2014, mainly for exercise but immediately shewas enthralled by all the cool yoga poses. This led to her practicing yoga on a regular basis and participating in different yoga challenges on IG (@janglishfusionyoga). As she practiced more, she began to understand the true meaning of yoga and decided to deepen herpassion by enrolling in yoga teacher training. Akiko received her RYT 200 from Sangha in 2016. Through the teacher training and dedicated yoga practice, her meaning of yoga has transformed from “my hobby” to “my life”.Akiko was born and raised in Japan. Since she was a little girl, she always dreamed of becoming a global person who would be a mediator between communities and people all over the world. Teaching yoga has given her the opportunity to connect and contribute to
multiple communities. She has been able to connect with people who have different backgrounds, different ages, and even different nationalities. She truly believes that whenyoga is practiced together, everyone speaks the same language and we all become one. Currently she is teaching at Gold’s Gym, Edmonson Pike Library (for Small World Yoga).
My journey with yoga started with a bet. My previous coworkers and I bet who couldn't make it through a hot yoga class. I made it and fell in love with the cool lavender towels. I began taking more classes and loved the power then restorative after. I then decided I wanted more and went to Sangha Yoga in 2017. I began teaching power mainly but gravitated to beginner yoga and more yin/restorative. In recent times, I much prefer the yin/restorative because things actually change when things get uncomfortable.
